Real superstar set for surgery

(06-08-2010) - Kaka is set for surgery on his troublesome knee. According to reports, the Real Madrid midfielder left the club's training camp in USA for Belgium, where he will undergo arthroscopic surgery. "Kaka has travelled to Antwerp accompanied by club doctor Carlos Diez and will be examined by a specialist," Madrid said on their website. The Brazilian struggled last season following his £56m move to the Bernanbeu from AC Milan. He is expected to be out for two months. Real manager Jose Mourinho however insists the club will be able to cope without the 28-year-old. "If we have to lose him for a while, it won't be a drama - we have other players," said Mourinho. “We want him to be at 100% so he is happy. He is a player who is much loved by his team-mates - he is one of the best players in the world."
