Blues snap up exciting African talent

(12-08-2010) Chelsea have beaten off Manchester United to secure the services of an exciting African talent. Bertrand Traore of Burkina Faso signed a youth contract with the West Londoners on Wednesday after turning down the chance to play for the Red Devils. The midfielder is just 14-years-old and shone at last year’s Under-17 World Cup - where he became the youngest-ever player to appear in the finals. Burkina Faso sports minister Jean-Pierre Palm announced that the teenager has agreed a deal to move to Stamford Bridge.
