Reds in for World Cup winner and other red-hot gossip

(23-08-2010) Liverpool are looking to increase their attacking options by making a play for former French international goal ace David Trezeguet. According to reports, Italian giants Juventus are prepared to sell the 32-year-old World Cup winner to the Reds for a cut-price £4m. Liverpool and Juve have a good relationship and recently did business around Christian Poulsen and Alberto Aquilani. Elsewhere, Inter Milan’s Nigerian international striker Victor Obinna could be on his way to West Ham; Paris Saint-Germain and Benin playmaker Stephane Sessegnon is eyeing a £12.3m move to Tottenham; Stoke City are tracking bean-pole Tottenham striker Peter Crouch; and Manchester United are facing the possibility of an official complaint from Ajax after persuading one of the brightest prospects in Dutch football - Gyliano van Velzen, a Dutch under-16 international - to move to Old Trafford.
