Buoyant Fergie predicts EPL glory

(09-08-2010) - Sir Alex Ferguson has vowed to reclaim the EPL title following Manchester United’s impressive 3-1 win over reigning champions Chelsea in the Charity Shield on Sunday. Goals from Antonio Valencia, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov gave the Red Devils victory after their archrivals at Wembley. And despite only spending a modest £20m on new players this summer, Fergie is adamant he has the squad to dethrone the Blues. "My players are hungry, I think you've seen that today. Some of our football was very good at times, we created chances and we deserved to win,” said the Scvot afterwards. "The foundation of the team is the experienced players like Vidic, Scholes and Giggs and they can help the rest.” He added: "When you don't win the title, you must do it the next year. That's the great thing about football, you've always got the next year."
