United loan out young duo
Manchester United have agreed loan deals for young stars Mame Biram Diouf and Danny Welbeck. On Friday the club’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that the young strikers would join Blackburn and Sunderland respectively so that they can gain vital EPL experience. With Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen and new signing Javier Hernandez all options up front for the Red Devils, Diouf and Welbebeck were expected to see little action this season if they had remained at Old Trafford. Fergie however remains convinced that they have what it takes to be big stars in England and is not prepared to sell either player outright. One United player not going anywhere is Tom Cleverley, who Ferguson has decided to keep at Old Trafford after an impressive pre-season campaign.
