Rumblings at Eastlands

(15-08-2010) All is not well at Manchester City. According to reports in a leading Sunday newspaper, the mega-wealthy club is beset by in-fighting. Apparently the club’s manager Roberto Mancini is struggling to keep all the egos happy and a number of senior professionals are unhappy with his coaching methods. In recent days Craig Bellamy has been sent to train with the reserves after criticising Mancini while on international duty, while veteran ‘keeper Shay Given is dismayed that he has been relegated to the bench in favour of Joe Hart. New captain Carlos Tevez is also not happy, claiming the club were wrong to sign a troublemaker like Mario Balotelli. Now only time will tell if Mancini can get the dressing room back on track before it is too late.
