Gallas attempts to win over doubters
(24-08-2010) William Gallas has admitted that he thought long and hard before signing for Tottenham. This comes after the French defender became the most high profile player since Sol Campbell to cross the fierce North London divide that exists between Spurs and Arsenal. "It was not an easy decision but I am here now and I will give my best," the 33-year-old Gallas told Tottenham’s official website on Monday. "What is most important to me is to play games and to give everything." In an attempt to win over the doubters, Gallas claimed he believed Spurs were more than capable of winning the EPL title. "Finishing fourth last season shows Spurs have improved a lot and I hope this season we are going to finish even higher, maybe even win the Premier League," he added. "We just have to believe in ourselves. We have got young players with great quality.”
