Super Mario demands SUPER wages

(06-08-2010) - Manchester City’s attempts to finalise the £25m capture of Mario Balotelli from inter Milan hit a snag on Thursday after the Ghanaian-born Italian striker demanded £180,000-per-week-week. And while the cash-flush Blues are happy to pay top-dollar for the 19-year-old, the club’s Arab owners believe the wages he is asking for are exorbitant. City will now try and reach a compromise with the player’s agent, Mina Raiola. Balotelli’s wage demands are also not the only source of frustration for City. Apparently the transfer has also been complicated because of City's differences with Inter about performance-related add-on fees.
