‘appy ‘arry downplays CL pressure
(17-08-2010) Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has played down the pressure of competing in Europe. Spurs head into unchartered territory this season as competitors in the Uefa Champions League courtesy of their fourth place finish in last season’s EPL. The White Hart Laners take on Swiss side Young Boys in Berne in Tuesday's play-off first leg. Quizzed on what failure to reach the group stage would mean, Redknapp said: "What can it mean? What are we going to do - commit suicide?” He added: "Listening to everybody, we'll end up hanging ourselves. All you can ever do is your best. If we play at our best, we've got a great chance." The club will be guaranteed at least £10m if they progress to the group stage.
