Robinho to snub Turks in favour of glamour move

(25-08-2010) Robinho is set to snub Besiktas and Fenerbache in the hope that he bags a move to Italy or Spain. The £32.5m Manchester City flop was in talks with the Turkish giants in recent days but late on Tuesday commented: "I'm not going to play there right now." Robinho, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Santos in Brazil, is said to favour a move to either Barcelona or AC Milan. Before joining City for a British transfer record in 2008, he played for La Liga giants Real Madrid. Robinho scored 25 goals in 101 appearances at the Bernabeu before becoming City’s first ‘big’ signing after the club were taken over by an extremely wealthy Arab consortium. He has netted 14 goals in 41 appearances at Eastlands.
