Show me the money – Redknapp
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has pleaded with the club’s owners to free up some money to bring a few big names to White Hart Lane. Spurs are set for their debut season in the Champions League, with Redknapp believing they will flop unless he is allowed to strengthen the squad. The club have already missed out on Joe Cole who joined Liverpool with Brazilian midfielder Sandro (£6m) their only new signing. "How we do next season depends on who I get in. If I sign a few players then anything can happen, but if I don't it's going to be hard just to maintain what we did last year,” said Redknapp on Saturday. "It's very important because it's a massive opportunity and we have to grab it.” Redknapp has made it clear he is keen to sign Brazil striker Luis Fabiano from Sevilla and a new central defender.
