Adebayor set for exit and other red-hot gossip

Emmanuel Adebayor could be lost to the EPL, with French champions Marseille after the Manchester City striker. According to reports, Marseille are ready to offer £15m for the Togo international or take him on loan. City are under pressure to reduce the size of their bloated squad from 37 players to 25. And with Mario Balotelli set to arrive from Inter Milan, Adebayor - as well as Craig Bellamy, Robinho and Roque Santa Cruz - look to be on their way. Elsewhere, Benfica have slapped a £33m price tag on Brazilian defender David Luiz, who is wanted by Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid; Chelsea and Manchester United look set to miss out on Stuttgart midfielder Sami Khedira, who will likely join Real Madrid; and Maxi Rodriguez is ready to join the exodus from Liverpool, with his former club Espanyol keen to take the winger back to Spain in a bargain deal.
