Reds in for Ghana star

Liverpool are preparing for life without Fernando Torres by setting their sights on Ghana World Cup star Asamoah Gyan. The muscular 24-year-old, who is currently on the books of French side Rennes, had a wonderful tournament in South Africa as he fired Ghana to within a penalty kick of the semi-finals. He was later shortlisted for the coveted Fifa Golden Ball award. Gyan’s performances enhanced his reputation to such an extent that Liverpool will have to fork out around £20m to secure his services.
