City slam Drogba report

Manchester City have poured cold water on reports linking them with a move for Cheslea star Didier Drogba. This comes after Drogba’s agent on Monday claimed there had been "direct contact" with the wealthy Manchurians and that there "might be some surprises before August 31". City, however, played down the comments, stating they have no interest in signing Drogba and that any report linking the club with the striker is untrue. "We can categorically state we have no interest in signing Didier Drogba and any suggestion of an approach is entirely without foundation," City spokesperson Vicky Kloss told The Times newspaper on Tuesday. City’s primary striking target now appears to be Italian starlet Mario Balotelli of Inter Milan.
