Mancini 'loves' Torres

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini would “love” to have Fernando Torres in his squad and is prepared to battle Chelsea for the £50m-rated star. According to reports, Mancini believes he can land the Spanish star after hearing Kop boss Roy Hodgson claim that Torres has a “beef” with the Anfield club. "Torres is one of the best strikers in Europe and is already playing in the Premier League for three years and knows it very well,” said Mancini on Monday. "But it depends on his situation, his price and if he wants to come. There are two or three strikers we could go for. The choices we have are fantastic players." City have been linked to Wolfsburg's Bosnian ace Edin Dzeko, 19-year-old Mario Balotelli of Inter Milan, and EPL legend Didier Drogba.
