Red Devils want ‘new’ Scholes

Manchester United have made Dutch ace Wesley Sneijder their No.1 transfer target ahead of the new season. According to reports, Sir Alex Ferguson views the Inter Milan attacking midfielder as the ‘new’ Paul Scholes. The 26-year-old has enjoyed a sensational World Cup and has been earmarked by Fergie to sit in the ‘hole’ behind club goal machine Wayne Rooney. But he won’t come cheaply, his price having rocketed to around a £35m in recent weeks. (Inter paid Real Madrid a mere a £13m for Sneijder a year ago). It is believed that if new Inter boss Rafa Benitez lets Sneijder leave it will pave the way for him to move for Liverpool star Javier Mascherano!
