Fergie praises fringe players
(03-11-2010) Manchester United’s fringe players rose to the fore on Tuesday in an impressive 3-0 win over Bursaspor in Turkey. Gabriel Obertan and Bebe both bagged their first goals for the club in a win that puts the Red Devils on the brink of last 16 qualification. Centre-back Chris Smalling also made a notable contribution. "I'm very pleased with them," said Fergie afterwards. "They played very well. Obertan's developing very well and getting much stronger now. He's a real good talent." On Portuguese striker Bebe, Fergie said: "He is a good, young player who still has a lot to learn. He still needs a lot of coaching, but the raw talent is there. He is brave and quick, and for such a young player he is a good decision maker." On the negative side, Darren Fletcher and Nani both picked up knocks and are doubtful for Saturday’s clash with Wolves.
