Ancelotti plays down JT fears
(20-11-2010) Carlo Ancelotti has played down fears regarding the long-term fitness of Chelsea captain John Terry. Acknowledging that the defender’s leg muscle injury was a concern, Ancelotti does not expect him to be out for as long as first feared. "He has pain. He will not be involved on Saturday against Birmingham but, maybe, he'll be able to play in the next game," said the Italian on Friday. "We're not satisfied but we hope we're able to put him in condition to play." Terry consulted a specialist in Italy about the problem this week and Ancelotti said work was still needed to get the England defender up to full fitness."We have to work on this problem," he added. "It's not true that he'll be out 'for a month'. It depends day-by-day with John. I don't remember how many times I was 100% fit when I played. You often have problems."
