Roy left with red rage

(11-11-2010) Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has slammed his players after their disappointing 1-1 draw with Wigan on Wednesday broke their three-match winning streak. A Fernando Torres' had earlier given the Reds the perfect platform to make it four wins on the bounce but they allowed Hugo Rodallega's to fire in a 52nd-minute leveller which saw the Merseysider’s then hanging on for a draw. "We did not deserve to win and looked very tired,” moaned Hodgson afterwards. "Our passing was nowhere near as good as I expect it to be. We had a good start and finish but, for long periods in between, we were nowhere near and should be happy with a point.” He added: "Perhaps we were a bit unlucky with the Steven Gerrard shot that struck the bar - but that would have been harsh on Wigan." The point moves Liverpool up to ninth place.
