Wenger puzzled by Cesc’s injuries

(26-11-2010) Arsenal are growing increasingly baffled by the number of injuries suffered by star midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believes that the Spaniard might be placing himself under unnecessary pressure because of his burning desire to get the team back challenging for silverware. Fabregas is set for two week on the sidelines after pulling up against Braga on Tuesday. "All the data we had was positive so it's difficult to say to a player 'I know you're fit, I know you feel good, but you don't play',” commented Wenger on Thursday. “He has more on his shoulders than before. There is pressure to deliver, pressure of being captain. I don't know if that has an influence.” He added: "Usually people exposed to hamstring injuries are sprinters like Michael Owen and Ryan Giggs. Cesc is a ball-giver, more a stamina player and that's what puzzles me."
