Gunners set to welcome back star striker

(30-11-2010) Arsene Wenger hopes to let Robin Van Persie kick-start his injury ravaged season against Wigan in the Carling Cup on Tuesday. The Dutch striker has played just 54 minutes of football since picking up ankle knack in late August. He is likely to replace Marouane Chamakh who will be rested. "Robin will certainly play. But I haven't decided my starting line-up yet,” revealed Wenger on Monday. "In my squad the 25 players are the same level. So it's just the form of the day, the sharpness and the fatigue factor that influences my decision. “ He added: "The only thing I can promise is we will take the game seriously. We will field a team with a good chance to win the game because we want to qualify for the semi-finals. The team will be a mixture of experience and youth, as we always do.”
