Johnson ready to leave Anfield and other red-hot gossip

(14-11-2010) Glen Johnson is ready to jump ship at Liverpool, citing a "complete breakdown in his relationship with manager Roy Hodgson". According to a report in the Mail on Sunday, the England right-back is said to be furious at the public criticism levelled at him from the boss earlier in the week. Johnson joined Liverpool from Portsmouth for £17.5m in 2009. Elsewhere, Tottenham will consider selling bean-pole striker Peter Crouch when the January transfer window opens for business; Roma have joined the race to sign Bolton's £15m-rated defender Gary Cahill; Nigeria manager Samson Siasia has told John Obi Mikel to quit Chelsea claiming the club have destroyed the midfielder's attacking instincts; and Manchester United are likely to be hit by a £65,000 fine this week due to manager Sir Alex Ferguson's continued refusal to cooperate with the BBC.
