Rafael on his spat with Tevez
(12-11-2010) Manchester United starlet Rafael has brushed off his spat with Carlos Tevez during Wednesday’s clash between Manchester United and Manchester City as “normal rivalry between a Brazilian and an Argentinean.” The pair exchanged heated words during the derby at Eastlands, with the young Brazilian making it very clear he was not going to allow himself to be bullied or pushed around by City skipper Tevez. They were separated by ref Chris Foy. "This was normal. The rivalry is always fierce in a derby and if a Brazilian is against an Argentinean, even more so,” said Rafael, who later limped off with a dead leg. "I do not have a problem with Tevez. It's up to every footballer to defend his club 100 per cent.” He added: "I am unhappy with the scoreline as we needed to win to leave City behind but I'm very content with my own performance."
