Reds suffer major blow

(29-11-2010) Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson confirmed on Sunday evening that star veteran defender Jamie Carragher faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a dislocated shoulder in the club’s 2-1 loss to Spurs. The match marked Carragher’s 450th Premier League appearance, but was not one he would like to remember. "It's very bad," Hodgson said. "He's dislocated his shoulder. It's a disappointing thing to happen on his 450th appearance in the Premier League.” He added: "We'll now be without him and Steven Gerrard and they are the lifeblood of our club." The loss leaves Liverpool in 10th place on the EPL standings, seven points behind fourth placed Manchester City and 12 points behind leaders Manchester United
