Croatian Sensation set for German move and other red-hot gossip

(21-11-2010) Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar will be allowed to leave Tottenham in January but won’t join a fellow Premiership club as expected. Elsewhere, Manchester City are preparing to splash more cash with Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko and Barcelona defender Dani Alves firmly in their sights; Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has put top European clubs on alert after admitting on Saturday the club could sell star midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger next summer if he does not extend his contract, which expires in 2012; and Fernando Torres has told the club’s fans that the entire Liverpool squad are behind under-fire manager Roy Hodgson.
