Berba set for the exit door?

(27-11-2010) Dimitar Berbatov faces an uphill battle to save his Manchester United career. According to reports, the silky but moody Bulgarian is in danger of not having his contract renewed. He has 18 months to run on his current deal but there are no suggestions United want him to sign a new one, with many suggesting he will be off-loaded in the January transfer window for an offer of around £10m. Berbatov has failed to scale the heights for United since his record £30.75m move from Tottenham in August 2008. This season the 29-year-old has failed to score in United’s last 10 games and was left out of the squad altogether for last Sunday's home league game with Wigan. He returned to face Rangers at Ibrox in the Champions League on Wednesday night, yet again failing to get on the score sheet. He has scored six goals this season.
