Rafa set for Reds raid and other red-hot gossip
(10-11-2010) Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is set to raid Anfield by making a play for defender Daniel Agger. According to reports, the Inter Milan boss wants to bring the Danish centre-back to the San Siro after Argentine veteran Walter Samuel was ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage. Agger is not a regular under Roy Hodgson who prefers to pair Jamie Carragher with Martin Skretl. Elsewhere, Arsenal are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Serbian defender Neven Subotic, who is rated at £20m; Manchester City have sent scouts to watch Porto's Brazilian striker Hulk, who has scored nine goals this season; and Chelsea are interested in signing Bayern Munich’s 21-year-old Brazilian centre-back Vinicius Borges Breno.
