Serie A giants want Super Mario and other red-hot gossip

(16-11-2010) AC Milan want to bring Mario Balotelli back to Italy just four months after he joined Manchester City. The talented striker has not enjoyed the best of starts to life at Eastlands, picking up a red-card and suffering a string of niggling injuries. These have limited his time on the pitch with Milan now reportedly working on a deal to bring him back to Serie A. City paid Inter Milan £24m for Balotelli. Elsewhere, Manchester United have been linked with £9m-rated former Reading striker Gylfi Sigurdsson, who left the Royals last summer for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim; Liverpool will move for French right-back Rod Fanni from Rennes as a replacement for Glen Johnson; and unsettled Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is on the radar of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after admitting he was fed-up of not getting regular first-team football.
