Bring on United – Mancini
(08-11-2010) Roberto Mancini is confident that his Manchester City charges can put their patchy form behind them and beat arch-enemies Manchester United on Wednesday. The Blues lost three games on the trot prior to Saturday’s 2-0 win over West Brom, with many suggesting Mancini was on his last legs as City boss. "It was very important to win going into the derby, we are in a good position now,” commented Mancini after the game at the Hawthornes. “We can get second position maybe after that game.” He added: "We played a fantastic game. My players played so well and we can score more goals than that." City currently trail second-pplaced United by three points and it will take a four-goal win on Wednesday night to leapfrog Sir Alex Ferguson's team.
