Barry laughs off threat of City mutiny
(02-11-2010) Gareth Barry has blasted reports suggesting Roberto Mancini has lost control of the Manchester City dressing room. This comes after suggestions were made on Monday about the threat of a player mutiny following the club’s shock loss to Wolves at the weekend. England midfielder Barry however insists the Blues players are fully behind their Italian boss. "The truth is that there is a group of players working together, working hard and working for the boss," commented Barry on Monday. "Everyone in that dressing room and that training complex wants to do their best for Manchester City." He also apologised to Mancini for a recent drinking session by himself and City team-mates Joe Hart and Adam Johnson. "I regret that, it was naive of me. It shouldn't have happened," added Barry. “We were in the wrong but that is in the past now and we are only looking forward.”
