Red Devil Owen devastates Stevie G
Liverpool superstar Steven Gerrard admits it is very difficult seeing former Kop legend Michael Owen in a Manchester United jersey. The pair came through the Liverpool youth system together and are still firm friends. Speaking to FourFourTwo magazine, Gerrard said: "I don't like it. It's weird and doesn't look right. I played with him in the red of Liverpool since I was 10, so to see him in the red of United is difficult for me." Owen left Liverpool in 2005 on a free transfer to join Real Madrid, before moving to Newcastle a year later for £16m. After four injury plagued years on Tyneside he joined United in June of this year. "Obviously it was a chance he needed to take so I wish him well personally - but I do not want United to do well at all," added Gerrard.
