Spurs ‘keeper badly injured in bike accident

Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has been badly injured in a motorbike accident. On Wednesday the 36-year-old was involved in a collision with a car near London and suffered "potentially life-changing injuries". According to a Tottenham spokesperson, Cudicini fractured both wrists and injured his pelvis but the full extent of his injuries will only be known after hospital test results. A female driver and a child passenger walked away from the Ford Fiesta Cudicini was in collision with and did not need hospital treatment. Cudicini was signed by Spurs on a free transfer and has made eight appearances as a stand in for the injured Heurelho Gomes. Before that he spent almost 10 years at Chelsea, making more than 200 appearances after signing for the Blues from Italian side Castel di Sangro, following earlier brief spells at AC Milan and Lazio.
