An Angel set for City and other transfer gossip

Big-spending Manchester City will need to fork out a whopping £36m if they hope to prize star striker Angel Di Maria from Benfica. City manager Mark Hughes has targeted the Argentine as a replacement for Brazilian Robinho, who has been linked with Barcelona. Elsewhere, Liverpool have slapped a £15m price tag on midfielder Lucas Leiva who is being courted by Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Juventus; Fulham are keeping tabs on Palermo's Brazilian keeper Rubinho who is rated at around £3m; Liverpool have been told that West Ham striker Carlton Cole will cost them £20m; and Birmingham are tracking Sevilla striker Arouna Kone and Real Betis midfielder Achille Emana.
