JD can be the best - Woody
The sky is the limit for Tottenham goal machine Jermain Defoe and he can be as good as Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi! This is according to his Spurs team-mate Jonathan Woodgate after the England striker bagged an incredible five goals in Sunday’s 9-1 thrashing of Wigan. "I think Jermain Defoe is the sharpest striker, not only in the Premier League, but probably in the world," insisted Woodgate. "He doesn't miss, he's like that in training. Maybe he's not as well known - not that he's any less talented - as say Brazil's forwards, or Messi, or someone like that." Defoe’s recent heroics have taken him to the top of the EPL scoring charts with 11 goals this season, one ahead of Fernando Torres, and two in front of Didier Drogba and Darren Bent. Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha and Robin Van Persie have all scored seven goals.
