Foster to go and other transfer rumours

Ben Foster could be on his way out of Manchester United after Tottenham launched a £6m bid for his services on Monday. Foster has fallen behind Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak in the goalkeeper pecking order at Old Trafford but is desperate to secure a place in England’s World Cup squad. Spurs could be the perfect place to impress England coach Fabio Capello. Elsewhere, John Terry has urged Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to spend big in January, especially with Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, John Obi Mikel and Salomon Kalou all set for African Cup of Nations duty in February; Egypt striker Amr Zaki, who spent last season on loan at Wigan, is wanted by Portsmouth in January; and AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who has been linked with a January move to several EPL clubs, insists he is happy to stay in Italy.
