Yawn…Fergie blames the ref

Surprise, surprise, Sir Alex Ferguson has blamed the referee after another Manchester United loss! The Red Devils had their proud 23 match unbeaten European home run, which stretches back over four years, ended by Besiktas on Wednesday. Fergie, who blooded many of the club’s younger players because United had secured their place in the last 16 prior to the match, lashed out at French ref Stephane Lannoy for denying his team what he claims was a legitimate penalty when Patrice Evra appeared to be cynically body-checked in the 86th-minute. "I was right to be agitated," fumed Fergie afterwards. "We can't seem to get these penalty kicks. It happened in our last game against CSKA Moscow as well. If we can't get stonewall ones like that, then the game's in trouble." Fiery Fergie begins a two-match touchline ban at Portsmouth on Sunday for his attack on EPL ref Alan Wiley.
