Teen sensation to United and other transfer rumours

Everton sensation Jack Rodwell will ultimately play for Manchester United - according to the manager where he started his career. Rodwell, who is just four months short of his 19th birthday, is being tracked by both Chelsea and United. Steve Cattlin, Rodwell’s manager at Birkdale United, sees the young midfielder-cum-defender following in the footsteps of Wayne Rooney by leaving Everton for United. And with Everton playing United on Saturday, Sir Alex Ferguson will have the perfect opportunity to run his eye over the teenager. Elsewhere, Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has been told he will not be allowed to sign for Roma on the cheap; Mark Hughes hopes his Manchester City side impress Fernando Torres during their visit to Liverpool, as the Blues boss is keen to sign the striker in January; and Inter Milan want to scupper Chelsea's £40m move for Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero.
