Nani ordered to top sulking

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has ordered Nani to focus on his football instead of continually sulking about not playing regularly. The £17m Portuguese winger recently admitted that he was unhappy at Old Trafford after failing to nail down a regular starting place despite being ear-marked to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. Fergie has instead preferred Antonio Valencia and Gabriel Obertan to the former Sporting Lisbon player. "He has suffered because Valencia’s form has been excellent and because Obertan has emerged as an interesting player," said Ferguson. "It is no criticism of Nani, but the way things have developed in the last few weeks have gone against him. I have spoken to him and told him that he must take his chance when it comes along. Some big clubs have been mentioned for Nani, like Milan and Benfica, but we wouldn’t entertain selling him anyway."
