'My Gunners are something special'

Arsene Wenger was a very happy man following another sterling performance by his marauding team on Wednesday. Goals by Samir Nasri, Abou Diaby and a brace by captain Cesc Fabregas saw the Gunners romp to a 4-1 win over AZ Alkmaar in the Champions League, all but guarantying them a place in the knockout stages. Asked if he felt his young team were capable of producing something special, Wenger crowed: "I've said that for a long time and we want to show that. Let's keep this attitude and spirit and we can deliver something special." Special praise was reserved for Andrey Arshavin - who had a hand in three of the goals. "He was outstanding. He gave the ball every time a fraction of the second you wanted him to give it and that is top quality," added Wenger.
