Kop legends set for sensational return
Liverpool legends Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush are set for sensational returns to Anfield if incumbent manager Rafa Benitez quits. According to reports, Benitez is due to have showdown talks with Reds chairman Martin Broughton within the next 48 hours, with rumours doing the rounds that he will walk so that he can join Juventus. If that happens, Dalglish and Rush will step into the breach to provide stability on a temporary basis as the club searches for a successor. Liverpool’s American owners are desperately searching for buyers of the club which means that a permanent replacement for Benitez cannot be named until the club is sold. The appointment of the two Kop legends will ensure that experienced hands are at the rudder, during the planning stage of the summer months.
