Fresh speculation over Torres and other red-hot gossip
Fernando Torres has sparked fresh speculation that he will leave Liverpool in the summer by refusing to speak about his future. The Spanish star on Wednesday said he is solely focused on being fit in time for Spain’s opening World Cup game and will only decide where he will play his football next season after the global showpiece in South Africa. Elsewhere, Arsenal are interested in French club Lorient's £8m-rated centre-back Laurent Koscielny; Inter Milan have identified England manager Fabio Capello as the "ideal candidate" to replace their Real Madrid-bound coach Jose Mourinho; out-of-contract Arsenal defender Sol Campbell has moved closer to a move to Celtic after opening talks with caretaker manager Neil Lennon; and Sunderland's move for Argentine right-back Marcos Angeleri has almost certainly killed off the club's interest in Alan Hutton, who impressed on loan from Tottenham.
