Stevie G in limbo until after WC
Steven Gerrard will only consider where he will play his football next season after the World Cup. The Liverpool captain has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield due to the club’s financial plight and a reluctance to work under Rafa Benitez. "I won't think about my future at Liverpool until after the World Cup,” revealed Gerrard on Sunday. "I fell into that trap at the last World Cup when I was driving myself mad thinking about my future. This time I won't make the same mistake.” Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are known admirers of the midfield dynamo. "Hopefully, things might happen while I'm away. There might be players coming into Liverpool to help strengthen the team, but I'm not really interested at the moment in what's going on at Liverpool. My main focus is the World Cup.”
