City’s Silva lining

Manchester City are ready to splash some of their vast wealth on Valencia striker David Silva. However, they face a stiff test for the Spanish international as Valencia look to hang on to Silva after losing David Villa to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago. Nevertheless, the 24-year-old Silva remains high on City manager Roberto Mancini’s wanted list. According to reports, City are ready to offer £30m for Silva who they want to pair with Wolfsburg hitman Edin Dzeko up front next season. City are ready to offer £35m for Bosnian international Dzeko, who has been the Bundesliga’s top marksman over the past two seasons.
