Ballack’s EPL future up in the air

Chelsea star Michael Ballack wants his future with the club sorted out before the World Cup. The 33-year-old, who becomes a free agent in the summer, wants a two-year contract to remain at Stamford Bridge but the club have offered him only 12 months. The midfielder will jet off to join the German World Cup training squad in Sicily, Italy straight after Saturday’s FA Cup final against Portsmouth. Speaking on Tuesday, the former Bayern Munich star said: "Roman Abramovich will only hold contract discussions once the season is over. I have to accept that but everything is becoming rather tight in terms of time."
