Spurs tracking Brazilian superstar and other red-hot gossip
Tottenham will try and boost their Champions League ambitions by making a sensational move for Brazilian star Luis Fabiano. Manager Harry Redknapp believes an £18m bid could prise the striker away from Sevilla and boost the North Londoners hopes of making a major splash in their debut season in the competition. Fabiano is expected to lead the Brazilian attack at the World Cup in South Africa. Elsewhere, Manchester City are considering making an offer for Sunderland's £20m-rated striker Darren Bent, the scorer of 24 league goals this season; Manchester United are planning a summer clear-out, with Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Carrick and Anderson headed for the exit; and Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain has been tipped to leave Real Madrid with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all interested in the prolific young scorer.
