Cole yearns for Redknapp reunion

Joe Cole is desperate to be reunited with Harry Redknapp and has issued a come-and-get-me plea to the Tottenham boss. With his contract at Chelsea ending in the summer, Cole would be available on a free transfer. The England midfielder’s wage demands are high – he would expect around £100,000-a-week – which would mean Spurs breaking their £60,000 wage cap. But having qualified for next season’s Champions League, money shouldn’t be a problem for Spurs. Cole played under Redknapp at West Ham, first hooking up with him when he was just 14. Manchester City and Liverpool are however also reportedly interested in Cole’s services, while Redknapp is believed to be eyeing moves for Craig Bellamy and Steven Pienaar from Manchester City and Everton respectively.
