Fergie comments on Berba’s future

Dimitar Berbatov has a future at Manchester United and won’t be sold, insists manager Sir Alex Ferguson. The Red Devils record signing has struggled to justify the whopping £30.75m paid to Tottenham for his services in August 2008. But despite only scoring 26 goals in two seasons at Old Trafford, Ferguson says he has no plans to offload the Bulgarian. "No, no, definitely not," said Fergie on Friday. "He is a fantastic footballer and he will be with us next year." The player has been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Spurs in recent months. "There's been a bit of hype about Berbatov in terms of his future but we know he's a good player," added the Scot. Ferguson’s comments will be some reassurance for Berbatov who last week vowed he would "fight to stay" at the club.
