City land their man

(03-01-2011) Manchester City have agreed a whopping £27m deal for Wolfsburg hot-shot striker Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian is expected to arrive at Eastlands by the end of the week. He is likely to be offered a five-year deal worth around £100,000 a week. The struggling Bundesliga club had initially demanded £38m for Dzeko, so the final price represents a good deal for City. The 24-year-old has scored 66 goals in 111 games for Wolfsburg. His arrival is likely to hasten the departures of City flops Roque Santa Cruz and Emmanuel Adebayor.
