Pienaar relishing VDV reunion

(21-01-2011) New Tottenham signing Steven Pienaar cannot wait to link up with former team-mate Rafael van der Vaart at White Hart Lane. The duo played together in the early part of their careers while at Ajax. The 28-year-old Pienaar was signed from Everton for a reported £2.5m earlier this week. "The style of football is really important. I played with Rafa [van der Vaart] at Ajax and we played attacking football,” Pienaar told Spurs TV Online on Thursday. "I want to be in a team that plays attacking football that is exciting for the supporters to watch.” He then added: "I am definitely looking forward to playing with him again - but not just Rafa, all the players here because the football is exciting, it makes me excited and I can't wait.” The South African is expected to make his debut for Spurs at Newcastle on Saturday.
