Redknapp scoffs at Bale exit talk

(13-01-2011) Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has shrugged off speculation that Gareth Bale will be sold. Bale has been Spurs star performer this season. And now the 21-year-old ‘Welsh Wizard’ looks set to become the subject of a number of big bids, with Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini commenting that he thought Bale would be the 'strongest target' in the summer transfer market. "Well I don't know why Roberto would talk about Gareth really. It's great to have him here and long may he stay at Tottenham," Redknapp told Sky Sports News on Wednesday. "I don't see any way that he's going to be looking to move. He doesn't want to move and we don't want to sell him.” Added Redknapp: "If you're building a football club you don't sell young players like Gareth Bale. So he's here to stay hopefully."
